You know, Independence is nothing complicated
It's nothing to *** your head about.
Independence is about becoming what we are
It's about being masters of our home
It's about taking the necessary means to make our dreams come true.
When I was a kid, my grandfather used to say:
You see, on Sundays, after the Church Office, when you walk across your grounds
... when dusk comes, if we're not back home on time to milk the cows...
... well, that means we did something wrong, we own too large a land.
He said, Son, Independence begins in your own yard.
And when you achieve it in your own yard, chances are it will be achieved elsewhere too.
I have another vision that evokes independence
Independence is like having a large Black Horse...
...harnessing it, and then moving on to plow a field
...you just lightly tap it with a cord to get it going...
...and when you reach furrow's end, then you harrow, plow and sow and reap at fall
That's what Independence is about.
It's about having sown for 400 years, having ploughed, having harvested, and now reaping what's been sowed
... and that harvest consists in the great pleasure to be and feel at home, free and independent
Let's move on. Our destiny awaits us
under the rising stars
... and the sun that's screaming O FREEDOM
FOR A SMALL COUNTRY THAT'S STILL TO BE FREED
