I took part in the TOEFL Program
and I’m more than happy that I made this decision.
The UCSD Extension International Program
provided me with the opportunity to meet many interesting people
from different countries and make new friends.
After the six-month TOEFL Program,
I feel much more prepared for my future job
because I had the chance to learn from qualified teachers.
I’m definitely going to miss my time in San Diego.
Hello, my name is Roxanne Nuhaily, Director of International Studies
at the University of California, San Diego Extension International Programs.
This campus is one of the most highly ranked universities in the world.
We have eight Nobel Prize winners
and fabulous research and study facilities.
Students who come to our English Language Institute
see the reflection of this academic excellence
in our curriculum and our instructors.
We met each other at UCSD ELI.
Nori, what do you think about studying at UCSD ELI?
Oh, I like it because I like how they teach.
You know, before I came here,
I heard that ELI’s teachers have very good experience
teaching international students.
Oh, I think so.
That’s why I recommend this school.
I agree.
I’ve been a conversation leader for the past three years
and I really enjoy this program because
it provides the international students with native speakers in the classroom
to practice speaking English.
Hello, my name is Stacy Statler
and I’m one of the teachers here at UCSD’s English Language Institute.
Many people ask me what my job is and I say I’m a teacher.
Next question is how old my students are.
My students are all adults.
The next question is how many languages I speak
and I explain that I’m an English teacher
My students come from all over the world.
Most of my students are here
because they want to learn English, which is exciting to me.
For that reason, I really recommend for people to come here
to San Diego and study at UCSD’s English Language Institute.
Thank you!

who wrote ‘Cat in the Hat’ and ‘Green Eggs and Ham’.
It holds 3,000,000 bound books
and was created to resemble the tree of knowledge.
The computer lab is available between 8:30AM and 4:30PM.
One computer lab is for homework and the other is for personal use.

are entitled to a free login for free wireless connection.
The Café is a nice area for students to relax and meet with friends
to discuss homework or weekend events.
The front desk is where students can come in
and ask questions regarding their classes, visas, bus routes,
where to rent a car and purchase tickets for events such as
whale watching, Disneyland, Padres baseball games and more.

they benefit from being on a beautiful campus
in one of the most lovely places in the United States, San Diego,
close to beaches, mountains, deserts, lakes
