Hi, this is Rich Buccola here at New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village
I'm going to show you how to make split pea soup. Alright, we're back and I want to show
you its been simmering for about an hour. Look at how amazing it just cooks down. So,
we're going to actually let it simmer now for another hour. Very low flame, but look
at how the peas are all breaking up, I mean if I could just see it's just becoming a beautiful
soup. So, now that we're going to do into the last hour of simmering. The first thing
I want to do is add, this is what my Grandmother always did. She put a cup of the heavy cream
and I did measure it. And just put a nice cup of heavy cream in there and it will give
it a nice creamy effect to it and that's going to cook nice. All right, come back to me and
will I see, I'll tell you how I know it's good? You know its good when Gracie's barking
in the background because she knows, she just knows. And she's waiting. Got another hour
Grace. So, another hour after 30 minutes, last 30 minutes you?re going to taste it,
see if it's going to need a little bit more salt and pepper and you're also going to add
your carrots. Come back, we're making split pea, here at Expert Village.
