A black and white world, devoid of war. Of pain, of sorrow, of suffering. An unvarying
life bereft of hunger, loss, humiliation. A perfect life, with perfect lies.
Look into your heart, my son. See this so-called utopia from behind the fog of false tranquility.
Subtle hints they give to us; we are under their control. See this stable world, deprived
of love, hope, individuality. Death disguised behind a benign, nonetheless fallacious, countenance
of an excursion. Recognize this society as a softly spun web of lies, of indifference,
of concealment of true life. You have to understand; life is different than living. See past the
pretense the people have adopted as prosperity. See past the distorted contentment the people
say is life. See past your eyes, and into your heart.
Look into your soul, my friend. Don't you think a life, full of happiness, could be
possible? Don't you wish to relish the silky, fine fur of a loyal animal companion? Don't
you wish to listen to the mirthful song of birds, and glimpse colorful plumage darting
through the emerald green canopy? Don't you wish to wander lush forest paths? Don't
you wish to feel the warmth of love? Don't you wish to see the soft blanket of snow in
the cold winter, feel the comforting heat of sun in summer? If you hope, it can be.
If you speak, it can occur. Look into the people's eyes, my student. Do
you see the emptiness of joy? Of pain? Of loneliness, curiosity, and life? Of the melancholy,
arduous, tedious moments that are what make the memories to treasure emerge from the grey
depths of the countless recollections? No. Instead we see only hollow shells of what
people once were and should be. We meticulously tread through life while pain
and death loom ominously, but it is every living moment that counts.
Look at all the world, young one. Can you assist us? You who posses superfluous intelligence,
wisdom, courage, integrity? Imagine a world of discovery and knowledge. Imagine love,
family. Imagine a utopia to each of us. Imagine Choices. To be so selfless is to give up everything.
Everything.
