Hello. Why do I always sound like I'm Mary Poppins? I don't know. Matt Guff here for
The House Snowboard Shop. This is the Aftermath Squeezebox Edition Hi-Speed Quad caliber tiered
board with a flex rating of a 5.
This is a camber-shaped board...Yep this is a camber-shaped board. That is a twin-like
shape with a directional flex. The tail's going to be a little bit stiffer than the
more resilient nose, and the Super Fly Core is absolutely phenomenal because tip to tail
it's got a wood core. On the sides and on the edges it has what's called Dualzone EGD,
where the hard and soft woods are actually perpendicular to the tip and tail wood fibers.
The fiberglass is a Triax fiberglass, it runs in three different directions at 45 degrees,
-45 degrees and at 0 degrees, and it has a sintered base. It's going to stay fast, it's
going to stay durable, and it's going to stay amazing. Do you feel that? That's great.
It has the frostbite edges, so these edges actually stick out a little bit. So this is
for the rider that likes to ride a little bit more hard pack, or is on some not so soft
terrain, this is gonna help. And it also has what's called the Squeezebox. So, the Squeezebox
is kind of confusing, but I can make it simple for you. The core in the board is a little
bit thinner under your feet on the outsides, and on the insides of your feet the board's
a little bit thicker then gradually tapers off to thin again. This causes an equal transfer
of energy - did you see that worm? That was nice. It causes equal transfer of energy from
your bindings that is smooth and consistent throughout the whole board.
It does have infinite ride, which is the process of breaking in this board at the Burton shop.
There's a machine that does that all day long so you don't have to break this board in.
And it also has jumper cables. This Aftermath has jumper cables inside of it. Underneath
the bindings towards the tip and the tail there are energy transferring strips that
help you distribute energy quickly and more efficiently to your edge for higher alleys
and quicker turns.
This is the Burton Aftermath Squeezebox. Squeeze this thing into life if you ever ride it.
Bye.
