once your workers compensation claim has been accepted
and your voluntarily placed on benefits there are few things you should be aware
of
the treatment of your injuries is very important so you'll be treating with
either a doctor if your choice
or someone on what is called the panel of physicians
which is a list of doctors the employer must maintain
and you must read with them in the first 90 days to have those bills paid
once you receive benefits they may hire someone called a nurse case manager
this person will attend to control
your treatment and often when we get involved we ask that nurse case manager
to have no more contact with you so be aware of that
there may be a camera outside your house often private investigators are
hired to follow people who are on benefits to determine
if they're working or if they're acting in a manner that exceeds their physical
restrictions
also once your claims been accepted the workers comp insurance company has the
right to have you examined
by a doctor of their choice a one-time occasion
are to treat you but to merely issue a report often when the
insurance carrier schedules this impairment rating evaluation the case
then leads towards settlement as a complicated procedure but we can help
you with that
