My name is Batuli Pariyar I had six children but four died
I live with my disabled son, my daughter and my grandson Anil.
Anil's father died of tuberculosis, so Anil's mother remarried and abandoned Anil.
Anil was one year old when his mother left him with me. I had no food to give him,
and I felt heartbroken for him
Anil lives in a remote village in western Nepal
I used to worry about how I could look after everyone, and felt helpless.
Because I couldn't breastfeed Anil, he became very sick and thin.
I used to cry a lot because I thought Anil was going to die like my other children.
Anil's mother refused to take him back.
A woman suggested I should take Anil to INF's clinic where they would care for him.
70% of local children are malnourished
Anil was very weak with tuberculosis and intestinal worms
We stayed at INF's clinic for a long time.
Anil was also treated for tuberculosis
INF gave Anil lots of good food and milk, and ate lots of INF's special porridge.
Anil started to put on weight. We were delighted.
Now it'as if he has a new life.
I feel much happier, and hopeful for his future.
INF really looked after us and we're so grateful to INF.
INF has trained Anil's grandmother Batuli to prepare nutritious food
Anil is so energetic and playful,
I love him a lot.
He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry Psalm 146,7
Every year INF helps hundreds of malnourished children like Anil
How can you help INF?
