Assassins Creed Revelation SPECIAL
- Hello, welcome to this special video about Assassins Creed Revelation,
the 4th edition of this franchise
Why did I make these special videos?
- I decided to do it because it's a lot to be shown
and it couldn't be summarized in 10-minute-long review video
and as this game is overreviewed on youtube
so it's a chance to do something different, reviewing
the features little by little.
Why did I buy AC Revelation instead of AC III?
- I decided not to buy AC Revelation now and instead
getting the previous edition because
I've never played it, first of all.
I took a long time between AC III...
... ops, I mean AC Brotherhood and Revelations
- Among other reasons, you had to refurbish the entire city
and some other things to move on 2% in the game
that if I had bought two AC games in a row,
I'd have freaked out
- I play certain game for some months
until getting tired of it
then I buy a different style game
and just in case of having something missing on that game
I'd go back playing it after some months.
as I've been doing currently with Modnations Racers.
Differences of playing on console and PC
- It's significantly different.
- I used to buy PC games often until 2006.
Most of games were racing simulators, though,
that means, few buttons were used in fact to play
- Then since 2007 I'd dedicated myself to
consoles, ps2, ps3... Actually I'd had consoles before
but ever since 2007 I'd given up playing on PC
- However some years later I started using steam
if you are interesting in having me as friend
it's there on the bottom of your screen
it's the same ID as PSN: Fla_1012.
and the hardest thing to get used was the controlls
because this game is... how can I explain the style?
I wonder it's hash 'n slash although not all
missions are like that..
I don't know the style of this game
- Anyways, every moment you moved your character
you had to set up the camera and that's harsh on keyboard
specially on certain missions, like this one
I played today: I had to explore a place in less than
6 minutes and every time I had to run, I messed up
where to be, where to climb or the camera was misset
so I had to stop and set it up and that's a waste of time
while on XBox 360 controller I could do it faster
and despite trying to put ps3 controller on pc
I couldn't set it up in a way that amused me on game.
- So, no other options than keyboard.
Graphics
- A significant improvement compared to Brotherhood's.
It goes without saying multiplataform games are
better graphically than console's
as videogames developers wouldn't be limited to console's hardware
- For example, this generation's are dated back in 2006
that means it's equivalent to old PC
while there wouldn't be limit in programming to PC
until the cutting edge videoboards might handle.
- On the other hand, it's pricey:
a pc gamer must spend lot of money on hardware
a reasonable good pc gamer worths not less than 1000 USD
because a cutting edge videoboard is half of the total price
considering a videoboard that will last some time
and it will be upgraded every now and then
- Additionally a PC game specially adquired digitally
is much cheaper than console:
- For instance a 20 USD pc game is much better
than 60 USD console game which mainly on annual
games like this one is economically unviable.
- And those graphics are so freaking awesome that
my mom though it was a real movie
- They are great, in deed, running in 1080p.
Prologue
- I'll tell you the prologue, sorry if I had to read
because the plot of this game got me confused
- I must admit when I first played this
I got lost because I thought it would start at the point
Brotherhood had stopped.
but instead the game started in a way different point
which made me feel distracted
and the fact of not playing for 15 months was a good other reason
- Let's go to prologue, I'll read the info on my PC
while I translate to brazilian viewers.
"In March of 1511, Ezio traveled to Masyaf, a syrian city,
after he discovered a letter by his late father
regarding, let's say, the secret library of Altair, Ezio's ancestor
and that was invaluable, hidden beneath the old Assassin fortress.
There, he was greeted by a battalion of Templars led by Leandros
that made him fight. Then he scaped
and made his way back into the fortress
He later found the entrance to the library,
but learned that it needed special keys
in order for it to be unlocked.
It was mentioned that the Templars found one of
the keys beneath the Ottoman Sultan's palace,
while speculating that the book held by Leandros
will lead them to the others.
Ezio set out of the fortress to take the book from Leandros
and then he killed the Templar captain
at Atlas Village after a long chase.
After obtaining the book, Ezio set out for Constantinople"
- Where sequence 2 is started and
it'll be mentioned on next episode when I'll
talk more deeply about the controlls,
the differences of gameplay.
and simultaneously, Desmond was in coma and
his mind is falling into pieces then later
he's found in the guts of Animus, a beta place
so he must have a synk nexus after reviving
or finishing unfinished memories or even better:
opening unfinished memories until his ancestor
shows him all he needs to know.
That basically is what Sixteen explains.
- By catching Animus data fragments, you unlock
Desmond memories where his past is told.
- One upside of this game is the fact that it's all
subtitled to brazilian players after huge sucess
of Brotherhood, making Ubisoft invest more
on this country which results on more selling
and more success
- See you next time, bye!
