So why would you want to employ someone from a vulnerable and disadvantaged background?
From a Tottenham Hotspur Foundation point of view everything we do is about creating inclusive
opportunities for the local community and just because there’s been a mistake in somebody’s
life or they’ve not had access to that opportunity we should always be looking at the ways we want
to include those young people and create the pathways to opportunities and employment.
A lot of people from disadvantaged backgrounds, they tend to have a belief that
it’s hard to get into employment so if we can bridge that gap to help them get into employment
then that’s a benefit for them and also for us.
We'd like to employ people from disadvantaged backgrounds because
I feel like they've got a general hunger for work so I belive that if we employ them,
because they've been out of work and come from a disadvantaged background they're the
types of people that once they do get work they work hard and they really put everything into the job at hand.
