Hi, I'm Sunny and I'm a graduate student at the University of Florida, and I know it's tempting
to rush out in the morning without eating anything, but if you can wake
up a few minutes earlier and eat breakfast, you will be a lot more productive.
Eggs are actually one of the fastest things you can cook.
I've scrambled these, and I'm going to throw them in a pan,
and I had already heated up some butter in the pan.
And hopefully it won't stick in the pan,
and see the edges are coming off the pan, that's a good sign.
Now, I'm going to throw in some chopped bell peppers and cheddar cheese to make an omelet.
You can put in some more pepper, some more cheese or less cheese
or less peppers depending on what you like.
OK, while that's cooking, I'm going to show you something else you can do.
If you don't want to bother cleaning a pan in the morning, or having one dirty,
you can do something simpler like throw some blueberries in some yogurt.
They really complement each other, especially if it is plain yogurt.
Plain yogurt is better for you anyways, because it has live bacterial cultures in it,
which are very good for your digestive system.
Let's check on the egg real quick.
It's coming off the pan, let's see if it's time to flip it.
You can also use just one egg, that way you get a smaller omelet
if you're not that hungry in the morning.
There we go, we're going to let that cook a little while longer.
So, another thing you can do, if you like grapefruit,
you absolutely must try squeezing your own juice.
It tastes so much better than the store-bought stuff.
This is a really good old-fashioned juice squeezer made out of glass, it's very sturdy.
And of course you're going to want to take out the seeds, but I don't have time to show you
that right now, I'm just going to take this and pour it into a glass.
And you might want to take another section or another half of grapefruit to make a full glass.
Let's check on the egg again.
OK, it looks just about done, so I'm going to put in on that plate over here.
Take a look at that nice omelet.
Here's the juice, here's the yogurt, take a look at that,
any part of this meal will definitely get your brain going in the morning.
