I feel a bit unhappy
and a bit, not too...a bit mixed really.
I found today rather, it was different, it was challenging at the start and
I was absolutely terrified at the first bit when we had to climb over the ladder
but I've actually got a really
quite a big fear of heights.
When I got up there I thought it won't be too bad but I got up and my body just froze up.
I couldn't move from then.
I just kept getting pushed and pushed but I just couldn't seem to move.
I'm a bit shaken and stuff but
but I'm more calm than I would have been before.
You will feel that you're in an environement where you feel unsure about the outcome,
you'll feel nervous and you might even feel a bit scared at times,
but through learning to overcome those challenges through both the support of
your instructor and support of your peers,
through pushing yourself outwith that comfort zone,
then you become more able to face those fears both
whilst you're on the course but also really importantly when you get back to your everyday life and also in the future when you find yourself
in the world of work.
I think I am pushing myself
more than...because I know I can do better
but I'm pushing myself to...well before I would have been like 'I don't want to',
I'm too lazy for that but I've been able to push myself to go up that extra step.
It's made me slightly more confident
and I've been able to know that I can challenge something if I put my mind to it,
so it's helped my mentality and stuff.
I've learned that you don't always need to be with your friends to do something, if you have
other people around you, it doesn't matter who, you can achieve something if you work together.
