We're Adam and Joanne from inspiredtaste.net and welcome to our kitchen.
We're making a simple and creamy mashed cauliflower recipe.
We're going to cook the cauliflower by boiling for about ten minutes...
so fill a pot with some water...
then put it onto the stove...
and bring to a boil.
While that happens you can prep the cauliflower...
just remove the green leaves from the base...
then use a knife...
to cut around the core...
pull that out...
and then pull or cut the cauliflower into pretty large florets.
Add them to a colander...
then rinse.
Once the water is boiling...
add a generous amount of salt...
then add the cauliflower.
You want to cook the cauliflower for about ten minutes...
When done it should be fork tender.
Now drain...
place the pot off the heat, add the cauliflower back into the pot...
cover and let steam for about two minutes.
Add the cream cheese...
about one and a half ounces of it...
some salt...
freshly ground black pepper...
and a little nutmeg.
Grab a potato masher and mash until creamy.
And thats it! Simple creamy mashed cauliflower.
