In one year a lot can happen. 2013 brought us
High points And low points
We saw the first bricks laid on a new Sydney landmark
Binary screens soared over Broadway We buried treasures underground
And watched a structure rise out of the depths of the campus
We started work on the uni's green heart Meanwhile some new neighbours moved in
It's been a big year, but the best is yet to come
Three building openings, four faculty relocations, one amazing campus
2014 will be a watershed year for UTS We'll get a new gateway to our City Campus
featuring state-of-the-art engineering labs, a 3D data visualisation facility and collaborative
classrooms Science and the Graduate School of Health
will unite on Thomas St, with a Super Lab below ground, a green roof on top and the
latest technology throughout Our library retrieval system will be filled
up with books, ready to use Above ground the new Alumni Green will provide
the perfect place to relax between classes Australia will get its first Frank Gehry building
and the Business School will have a new home that's just as striking on the inside as it
is on the outside Last but not least the Goods Line will open,
creating one of Sydney's great public spaces right next door to us
2014. It's the year that UTS has been waiting for
