Leadership is always an interesting process within the school setting.
Sometimes teachers work better when they hear from other teachers. I found this
to be true when working with my school planning,
planning and management team.
And through this team, in the beginning I was the facilitator.
I found that it was difficult to get teachers to buy into some of the
things we wanted to do.
So what I did was I changed, and I got a teacher to be the facilitator of the group.
And I became a member of the group.
Well I think that sometimes teachers feel that they're just being told to do
more things, and more things and that their plate is full. And when they it hear from
their colleagues,
their colleagues are doing the same things that they do, they have the same
amount of responsibilities within the school.
And so they feel like, if they can't do it, they can do it.
