Hello and welcome back to Data Games.
This video is about how to use Data Games tools
to help you make more money at Floyds of Fargo.
I have played a number of games at different premium prices.
Maybe you remember all the results, but I sure don’t.
Good thing I’m on a computer because it remembers them for me.
I don’t already have a table, so I go up here to the toolbar and click the “Table” icon.
This table shows information about the games on the left-hand side.
And the individual turns over here on the right.
Use the little plus-minus boxes to expand and collapse the “turn” info.
I’m not so concerned about the turns— I wanna know how I did on the games!
So I grab the vertical divider here and drag it to the right.
And look at that, I see all kinds of information about the games.
See?
The first game I played was at 75 cents.
My ending balance was $2,400
And there were a total of 6 flats from 4000 customers.
Let’s make a graph.
The first graph I make shows the balance as a function of turn…
And if I select that first game
I can see how my balance increased over the course of that game.
But right now, I’m not so interested in what happened during an individual game.
I wanna to know how my ending balance depends on the price.
So I drag my “Ending balance” to the vertical axis
And I drag “last price” to the horizontal axis.
Although there is some variation, the balance is high here in the middle…
And lower out here on the outside.
Maybe I could use more data...
I can use the graph to help me decide on a new premium price.
For example, I don’t have any data in this gap here.
So I’ll try 60 cents, and auto-finish the game.
See the new data point?
When I play another game, another point appears on this graph.
Get more data to make a better decision about your premium price.
Good Luck!
