This may look like a Volkswagen Transporter but it's actually a Volkswagen California
which means it's not a van, it's a mobile home. And I'll show you why, now. It has cupboards
for pans, a drawer for cutlery, a fridge to keep food fresh and a gas hob for cooking.
So you can cook your camerawoman a really healthy sandwich, there you go. The California
literally has everything, including, a kitchen sink. For instance, you can turn it into a
sitting room by rotating the front chairs around. There's even a little dining table,
too. So if you want you can have people round for lunch. And, if you get tired, no problem,
you can pack everything away and then fold the rear bench. There's also enough room if
you want to have guests over to stay. So that's one bed, now for another. By opening a hatch,
and then pressing a button, you can raise the California's roof to create a second floor.
And when you climb upstairs, you'll find, there's another bed up here, too. That's not
all, though, stowed in the boot hatch are a couple of picnic chairs. Then, there is
a table in the sliding side door, so, you can have an outdoor picnic. So, what happens
if it rains? Well, it won't matter, so long as you've suggested the optional awning it's
easy to put up and provide protection from the British weather. And now you can enjoy
a picnic without getting wet. Ergh, my terrible bacon sandwiches. Anyway, a Volkswagen California
- it's not a van, it's a mobile home.
