Next we're going to talk about lubing pivot points of your motorcycle which there are
numerous pivot points on your motorcycle. Anything that moves, you want to make sure
is lubed. Including foot pegs, shifters, kick stands, keyholes, suspension, levers, and
anything else on the motorcycle that has an actual pivot point. In order to do so, it's
best to use a red shop rag or any other kind of rag you have. And just lube like I say,
any kind of pivot points. You want to spray this foot peg because it pivots. The shifter,
it pivots so you want to spray that. Same thing with your swing arm, with your kick
stand, I'm sorry. You want to make sure you get that good and lubed up. And what you can
do after you have lubed your bike, it's probably going to be kind of messy but you can go ahead
and make sure you wipe it down or clean it off. You don't really want to use any kind
of degreaser or solvent to wash your bike after that because it will just eliminate
all the work you've just done. You also, when lubing your pivot points, you also want to
make sure that you try to get or don't forget your rear swing arm, your suspension has pivot
points on it, on the top and on the bottom, with the low ring links. And so does your
levers, they also have pivot points on them. Another thing I like to do is lube your ignition
on your bike because that is a moving part, and over time it will get stiff and harder
to move and basically lubing it will take care of premature wear and tear.
