What happens if your employer isn't providing medical treatment or benefits
after your work injury? My name's Kenneth Berger, and I practice law right here in
Columbia, South Carolina. I made this video to
answer that question for you. If you get hurt at work
You're entitled to three key benefits. 1 of them is medical treatment, the second one is
weekly checks for time that you're out of work
due to your injuries, and the third is for
any type of impairment or disability at the end of the case, but this video
really focuses on those first two especially medical treatment. Now,
it's your employers insurance company, the same way you and I have car insurance,
your employer, if he/she has four or more employees, is supposed to carry workers compensation insurance.
It's that insurance thats in place
to provide you with benefits like medical treatment. So if you injured your
back, or
your shoulder, or some other body part, and you need medical treatment
you need a let your employer know. They're supposed to contact their insurance
company,
and their insurance company is supposed to pay for the medical treatment related
to your work accident. If that's not happening, if
they're jerking you around, if they're delaying and providing excuses
and you're getting frustrated, that's what we're here for.
We help injured workers everyday in South Carolina, and
we'd be honored to help you as well. You can call me for a free consultation,
or you can request free copies of my books right from the website.
You don't have to take on these insurance companies by yourself.
