Hi. I'm Stephanie Barnett. On behalf of Expert Village I'm here to show you how to make seasonal
napkin holders. Ooh! Look at winter. These are the supplies you're going to need for
our next step. You'll need a hot glue gun or you can use your craft glue. Today I'm
using the hot glue. Scissors, ribbon, your cut piece of cardboard tubing and a ruler
to measure the ribbon. Again, I would really like you to use a satiny ribbon. This is not
a satiny ribbon and it's just, it'll still look nice but it won?t be quite as nice as
the satiny ribbon. I want you now to cut your ribbon. This, with the satiny kind of medium
wide ribbon needs 45 inches. So I'm going to cut that. Now I want you to take your cardboard
tubing and apply a little piece of glue right inside it. This is going to be your anchor
point. And I want you to put the ribbon right on that. And that will anchor the ribbon inside.
Then you're going to take some hot glue and for every strip that goes down, you're going
to hot glue that. You're going to take the ribbon in again, bring it back through. You're
going to glue another strip down. Pull it taught and it'll look nice. Weave it back
through, glue another strip. You're going to have to pull it taught but also to the
side to get it to line up again. Okay. Back through. Glue it again. You're going to do
this all the way around. And you can make a different pleating effect with this as well.
Just keep doing this all the way around. If you do it with a tighter thing so you would
have to cut more ribbon you can have tight pleats or you can have wide pleats.
