Hi, this is John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be talking about general
safety when using circular saws. First off before we get started you want to make sure
that your work area is cleaned, that any unnecessary tools or scrap wood debris, anything like
that is cleared from your work area. Next you want to make sure that you have a well
lit area to work in, if you're working in the dark it'll just cause an accident. And
lastly you always want to make sure that you're not working in any area where there is anything
that could explode. This could be welding equipment, it could also be if there is dust
in the air. A lot of times power tools will create sparks, especially if you hit a nail
as you're sawing through a board or many other causes of sparks will cause anything explosive
to ignite.
