JOHN ANDERSON: New Jersey governor Jon Corzine will join an existing lawsuit as early as next week
seeking to overturn the 1992 federal sports betting ban, ESPN the Magazine's Chad Millman has confirmed.
Corzine will argue the ban violates states' rights in his brief to support state senator Ray Lesniak's lawsuit,
which was filed after Delaware reinstated sports betting this spring-
Delaware, exempt from the federal ban because it had betting laws prior to 1992.
Legal experts had said the lawsuit wouldn't be a threat to the federal ban-
a state claimed it was unconstitutional, and now one of them has, New Jersey.
