Hi, Friends!
It is time to watch
LiveOlive's video guide!
For those of you who want to
sell things online,
it is important that you
showcase your products in
the best possible way.
Today's video will help you do just that:
"Easy Tips on Product Photography."
For beginners like yourself,
there are three things you should focus on
when taking pictures of your product:
background,
source of light and shots of the product itself.
For this tutorial, you will need:
two thick cardboards,
two artificial light sources
(light from your phones, flash lights or
study lamps),
mica paper,
scissors,
double tape,
the product you want to sell.
Let's start with the background.
They key for a good background
is simplicity.
Choose a color or pattern
that does not clash with
what you're photographing.
For this tutorial,
we will go with a white background.
Set it up like this
to look like a backdrop.
On the part touching the floor,
add a layer of mica paper.
You can do this easily
from anywhere in your home.
Next is the source of light.
It is best if you use a natural light source,
say from light filtering in through the window,
but if this is not possible,
you can create your own artificial light source
from say, phones or flashlights.
Last are the shots of the product itself.
It is not enough to just take one shot
from one angle because that is not
enough information for potential buyers.
What you need to do is take
a bunch of shots from different angles.
It will look something like this.
Our other quick tips are for you
to ensure that the product is clean from
stains or fingerprints before photographing it
and for you to remember that
reflective surfaces will reflect your reflection,
so make sure that you are not caught
in any of them.
If you would like to use a
different color background instead of white
to give it a different feel, you can.
Just make sure your background
doesn't clash with your product.
Don't stress over minor mistakes in your photos.
You can always use software like Photoshop
to clean them up a bit.
