As the first University of California Farm Advisor to the County,
Boissevain played an essential role
in Marin’s current agricultural successes.
His striking images are a rare look into Marin’s past,
capturing the lives of local farm and ranch families from the
1920’s
through the 1950’s.
For the very first time, these photographs will be available to the public in a limited edition book sold at the fair.
Throughout each day,
the "Grown In Marin Theater" will alternate 2 films:
"Hidden Bounty of Marin" is the awarding-winning documentary
of ten Marin farm families and their deep commitment to the land.
The second award-winning film "A Simple Question" documents the Marin grade school project
that became a 25-year partnership between students,
farmers and ranchers
for stream and watershed restoration.
Admission includes, concerts, exhibits,
entertainment, parades, nightly fireworks, and more.
So bring the family to celebrate
“Always Fresh, Fun and Local”
