Today, on our 2004 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex hitch-mounted
four bike rack, part number TH9025. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank in
the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll allow the integrated hitch pin to
fall into place, and we'll then turn the black *** to engage the anti-rattle device.
With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the
two fit together. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the bike
rack. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 2
inches away, and we've added about 10-1/2 inches to the overall length of our Sienna
with the cradle arms folded down. We can now lift up the gray lever at the top of the mast
to swing the cradle arms out, and with the cradle arms out we've added about 33 inches
to the overall length of our Sienna. To access the cargo area we can lift up the gray lever
at the base of the bike rack and tilt the mast down. As you can see we can easily gain
access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike we'll make sure the mast is in its upright
position. We'll undo the cradle straps, place our bike into the frame cradles and
secure it with the straps. With the bike all loaded up that will complete today's test
fit for the Thule Apex, part number TH9025 on our 2004 Toyota Sienna. .
