Hello, I'm Rob Parham. Welcome to another edition of The Inside Track
with Buffer Technologies. Today, I would like to walk you through the
installation procedure for our Beretta 92/96 recoil buffer.
A recoil buffer helps reduce the amount of felt recoil,
helps eliminate muzzle rise, and also helps reduce the amount of slide-on-frame
impact your weapon sees during shooting. First, as with most of our accessories, we
want to make sure the weapon is unloaded. Then we'll simply remove the slide from the
frame. Once we have the slide removed, we're going
to remove the spring guide and spring. We'll remove the guide rod and then take out
the recoil buffer system. On the Beretta recoil buffer system, it's
a little bit different than our other models. It has a replacement guide rod that replaces
your factory guide rod with a stainless steel version.
It also has this bushing. This bushing helps take out the extra space
between our slimmed-down guide rod and the factory guide rod.
You take that bushing and drop it right inside the slide
and you'll notice the bell area lines up inside the slide.
Place the spring onto the spring guide and install as you normally would.
Now, simply reinstall the slide onto the frame. You've just installed the Beretta 92/96 recoil
buffer. Thank you for joining us on this edition
of The Inside Track. You can find this recoil buffer and others
at www.buffertech.com. Now go out, have some fun, and safe shooting.
