This is Robert Stewart with Hill13.com. Now, we are going to look at a couple of tactics
that can be employed in a game such as 'Paint Burner', which is a classic speed ball type
of game. What you see is, here you have your holding area; which is where the players that
are eliminated have to go to, to wait to form a new three man team. Now, if you really want
to try to end the game with the same three players that you started with and you really
want to dominate the rest of the field. Keep in mind that for every three that you eliminate
you're creating a new team that is going to come back on you. They're going to be coming
from a different direction, let's say, than if you eliminated two players from this team
on this side of your formation and one player from that side then this new group is going
to come out and form up somewhere else. The ref is going to take them away from where
any action is occurring. So, at all times you have to try to, where ever you set up
on the field to maintain as much of an iron clad defense as you can. Now, you can play
aggressive ball and try to move in and out of this defensive line, but keep in mind that
your team, if you want to function as a team, you need to find a place where you can cover
one another even if it's not a bunker, even if it's just a draw in the ground, in the
shape of the ground. You find a piece of high ground and then you try to hold that high
ground. That's really all you can do in a game that's called 'Paint Burner.'
