There's four main job's market automation can help marketers do. The first
is manage contacts. You can use that information to then create really
targeted lists using filters, that then leads us to our second main job,
and that is create highly targeted campaigns. It's like a big what-if
engine. If this happens, do this.
The third job can help marketers do is enable sales through an element of
marketing automation called lead scoring. Therefore only send the most
interesting leads to sales to follow up. The fourth part, perhaps the most
important is about measuring the impact marketing is having on our
organization. That can go down to the email level, but perhaps more
importantly up to measuring the role and impact of marketing on the sales
and marketing [inaudible 00:56].
