Much proclaimed salt tolerant varieties like Lunisri,Patnai could not stand
in AILA affected tolerant areas .Traditional varieties like Talmugur,Marichsal,Kamini------Lalgetu performed well.
I am Manjusha Gayen a permanent resident of Dakshin Gobindokati
Prior to AILA we used to cultivate input intensive costly rice with modern technology

Salt can be effectively removed by water
Where there is huge rain water stagnation
salt can easily be removed
The practical proof is that the rice growing close to water gives good growth
Where there is no rain water stagnation the crop suffers.
