Hi this is Julie from WowToyz and today I would like to
introduce the E-Z Build 3D Puzzle Kit series from WowToyz. Where you build your own detailed
collectible using sturdy interlocking pieces. No need to paint! No need to glue! Everything
you need is included.
Here we have the Velociraptor. Measuring approximately 4 inches long once complete. With 24 pieces
it's fun & challenging for ages 8 and up. Instructions are included for your reference-
but the challenge of putting it together is part of the fun! Separate the pieces into
similar piles by shape or color, that's a good place to start. And because it is a puzzle,
remember, you can even take it apart and put it together again. See how fast you can put
it together each time!
Commonly referred to as the Raptor, one of its most distinguishing features was the enlarged
sickle-shaped claw on each of its hind feet that was thought to have been used to tear
away at its prey. In 2007, Paleontologists reported discovery of quill knobs -- or feather
anchors which leads many scientists to believe that the velociraptor had feathers.
Greek for "Speedy Thief" -- it stood on two feet using its tail as a counterbalance, which
would have enabled very fast turns. The Raptor roamed the earth during the late Cretaceous
period (75-71 MYA).
The first fossil was discovered in 1923 in the Outer Mongolian desert. The most famous
specimen was later found in 1971, known as the "fighting Dinosaurs"- a preserved Velociraptor
and Protoceratops in combat, preserved in time, buried in the sand - likely due to a
major sandstorm or collapsed dune.
This specimen is considered a national treasure in Mongolia. And now you can enjoy your very
own full-bodied replica.
Thank you for joining us and come back for the next session of our E-Z Build 3-D Puzzle
Kits.
