Hello! I'm Denise Bennett and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village today. Now, we're
going to do a little bit of trail mix. We're doing some dehydrating today in order to preserve
all the nutrients in our food, but we want a little variety. Out here in this gorgeous
place, this gorgeous area, we do a lot of hiking and we want a kind of a trial mix.
This is what we're going to do today. I really prefer apples, so we're going to use Fuji
apple. We're going to use ginger, some cinnamon for spice, goji berries, sunflower seeds,
Brazil nuts, walnuts, and pumpkin seeds. If you want to get creative, I highly support
that. Look in your kitchen. Look in the cupboard. See what you want to go ahead and dehydrate.
There are certain foods that are not really good for dehydration. If they're too watery,
you're probably not going to have something left at all. If it's 90% water. I can't imagine
that you can dehydrate grapes. I'm sure there's somebody out there who has tried. Usually,
I like to use apples, oranges. You can make a beautiful potpourri if you wanted to, or
something for decoration out of lemons. A lot of citrus works well for that. As far
as flavor, apples are wonderful. I'm going to start with my favorite fruit.
