The Łódzkie Region is an international communications hub.
Here intersect with each other main transit roads of the country: A1 - running from Gdańsk to Katowice,
A2 - from Świeck to Warszawa and S8 - from Warszawa to Wrocław.
International routes are supplemented by regional roads with the total length of 1152 km and they are an alternative for interregional traffic.
To improve their quality, while increasing the investment attractiveness of the region and enhance its socio-economic development,
in 2007 it was decided to start the modernization of regional roads.
Modernization and expansion of roads in the Łódzkie Region, as well as the development of airport and railways makes Łódzkie soon to become one of the best-connected Polish regions.
