The foreign-backed militants not only target Muslims in Syria, but also religious minorities
like Christians. The terrorist groups have attacked churches,
killed Christians and kidnapped several priests and nuns during the nearly three years of
conflict in the country. As Christmas approaches, however, Syria's
two million Christians are not celebrating. They are worrying. If an extremist government
replaces the government of President Bashar al-Assad, they wonder what the future will
be for Syria's religious minorities.
