One day in early spring, on a branch of a tree outside, I found a Japanese great.
It was gathering moss.
It started to bring collected moss to the bird house.
The season of plum blossoms was almost over, and cherry blossoms are around the corner.
Steadily, the nest was being built.
Hairs of dogs or other animals are used for finishing.
Will the mother lay eggs soon?
The first egg on April 7
The second egg on April 8
Then, the third was laid on 9.
Seemingly, the mother does not necessarily lay an egg on every day continuously.
She lays an egg on some days, but she doesn't on the other days.
As of April 17, she had laid six.
The cherry blossoms have all fallen from the trees,
Now that tree branches wear young leaves,
I expect chicks will start to hatch quite soon.
