(Nick’s Mom) When I looked at Nick, he was just so cute, such a happy baby.
Josh loved his big brother, and he just… he just followed him everywhere.
He loved looking at people and drawing portraits of them.
That night, he called me from his friend Andy’s house,
and then about three o’clock my phone rang.
I woke up, and I answered it, and it was Andy’s grandfather.
He said, ‘The boys were in a car crash’ and I walked out my front door,
and I started running toward the high school.
This police officer walked up to me, and she said, ‘Are you his mom?’
And I said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘Where is he?’ She said, ‘You can’t see him'
'but he died instantly. He didn’t feel it.’
And I woke Josh up, and I held his hand,
and I told him his big brother died.
(CHP Officer) The hardest thing we have to do
