Welcome to The B-Roll, I'm Heather Rogers.
It's Friday, February 7th, and on Tuesday, Greene Superior Court Judge Dena Martin sentenced
Randal E. Crosley to 81 years in the Indiana Department of Correction. In February, Crosley
entered a guilty plea for the *** of 19-year-old Katelyn Wolfe in June of last year. The maximum
sentence Crosley could have received was 85 years, and during the sentencing hearing Martin
told him that not only was a hefty sentence appropriate, showing much leniency would endanger
the community.
This Tuesday, an early morning fire at Waterman's Daycare in Sullivan claimed the life of an
18-month-old child.
Last Friday evening, officers responded to a call about a suicidal subject in Linton.
48-year-old James Jarman had a handgun he would not relinquish, and as officers began
to negotiate with him a conflict ensued and shots were fired. Jarman was pronounced dead
at the scene.
On Thursday, 7th District American Legion Riders and law enforcement vehicles escorted
former Air Force K-9 handler and current Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Harvey
Holt and his former canine partner Jjackson into Bloomfield. The two veterans were returning
from Andrews Air Force Base, where they had reunited after a seven-year separation.
From everyone here at NewsBarb, have a safe and happy weekend.
