This is our third segment on embellishments. We have picked out some really great ribbons,
from the Creative Cafe Collection. Since it is fall, I couldn't resist going for the deep
chocolate browns. But we have four different styles, why don't you start with yours; I
know you?re happy with it. I love this one, this one with the flowers, it's so cool. The
flowers, it's a lot of fun, that's made out of felt, so it's a really great texture, the
die cut felt. You've got the twill also, the basic garden variety cotton twill, but it
makes such a fun ribbon to work within your scrap-booking. Then I have the chocolate brown,
scallop, velvet ribbon. I just want to eat it, I just want my dessert, and it?s a lot
of fun, that's another great velvet ribbon. We've got the felt rick-rack, so we've put
a new spin on the rick-rack. You've got the felt zigzags; it's all a lot of fun. Now you
can use all of these you can use in your scrapbook. The main thing people have a problem with
when their using the ribbons, is how to adhere them. Really, you want to turn to one of your
tougher adhesives, the glue dot to adhere it down to your layout. So why don't you pick
out your favorite ribbon there, you know which one. Is it going to be the flowers? The flowers,
alright. We?re going to put this down as a border on our page. We?re going to put it
down, let's put it down this center edge down there. Now we would normally want to measure
that and cut that, but we can at least just start with the one end. What were going to
do here is we?re going to take our glue dots, were going to press that down and transfer
it up, actually not even one by one. We?re going to put one on the edge, and were going
to put one up here at the top. In fact, this little ribbon it usually just kind of pulls
through. We are going to put this one up here at the top, so it doesn't matter what shape
the ribbon is, you still just put one at the top and bottom. I usually just put one at
the top and bottom, sometimes one in the middle, depending on the ribbon. Ribbon is a flow,
it's a fabric, you want it to have a little bit of movement. So I don't like to have the
ribbon to rigid on my page, but it creates a great border. I know it's so cool, beautiful,
that's awesome, and I love this one. I'm going to keep this page, ok go for it. We?ll just
keep adding to it. You can have all sorts of fun with it. It's going to be very artsy.
So next we are going to learn more about embellishments, stay tuned.
