Hi, my name's Vern Stern with Expert Village. We're talking about wilderness skills, especially
as they pertain to emergency situations. This specific topic is about water, acquiring water
and making it safe to drink. I've been doing wilderness courses, studying and teaching
them and also have designed and taught several of them. This is something that I've been
doing for about fifteen years or so. A list of items that we're going to be needing to
look at today are some basic things. We're going to be talking about the first thing
is we're going to need a cup or a collection, a collection item of some kind that we're
going to be collecting our water in. We're going to need a little bit of cord or twine.
A five fifty cord will suffice as will jute twine, and a plastic bag, a clear plastic
bag of some kind. That's the first group of tools we're going to use to put together what
is called a transportation skill.
