Is it okay to pop a cold sore fever blister?
There’s enough debate as to whether or not you should pop pimples.
Cold sores, fever blisters or whatever you want to call them are unsightly.
If you have a zit, popping it can spread the germs to surrounding pores. The same is true
with fever blisters.
It can’t get worse unless the cold does.
Fever blisters aren’t caused by the cold virus. They are caused by the *** virus,
and popping them spreads the virus.
Then how do they get the name cold virus?
Your body fights the *** virus all the time. When it is fighting off a cold, the
immune system weakens.
And then you are more prone to fever blisters popping up. I could pop them before they pop
at a really bad time.
You should dab it with a paper towel or tissue when it pops and throw it out. And wash your
hands.
And, I suppose, wash any cups I was drinking from. Do I have to throw out my lipstick that
I used to cover it up, too?
That’s a good habit even when you aren’t sick.
If I pop it, it should dry up faster and go away sooner.
If you pop it, you could end up with the virus on your hands before spreading it elsewhere
on your body. Clearing up one blister to cause ten more is not a good idea.
It could take a week or more for them to go away.
So use different over the counter meds to make it stop hurting. Or keep your hands off
and wait until it goes away.
I’ve heard of using hydrogen peroxide to get rid of it.
A safer solution is using non-gel toothpaste and table salt mix.
Good idea. Then I don’t risk accidentally getting it in my mouth.
And eat yogurt to get lysine in your diet, while cutting out chocolate and spicy foods.
No can do. Chocolate is one of my go to comfort foods.
Skip the Tabasco sauce and enjoy chocolate chip yogurt and you ought to be good.
