Your day.
Alright, thanks so much. A local grandmother,
you know, she's very proud of her grandson and she wants to make sure that he can
keep trying to be an olympian, so she got him a brand new bicycle for free. Mhm, did you memorize
that whole script? No, I peeked at the actual script there.
Now there we go. Andrew Z has the sound of today's good news.
Each week this summer, the attorneys at the Charles Boyk Law Offices are giving
away a bike to a deserving kid, this time it was Andrew Ervin's turn. You like this bike better?
Yeah, I like
that bike better. The 11-year old was nominated by his grandmother. She wrote a
short essay about why he needed this new bike, he's training for the special Olympics.
It's really neat that he has the opportunity from this place to pick out
any bike that he want that would be really good for what he
wants to do. Wersell's Bike Shop is partnering with the law office to offer the bike,
a helmet,
and a lock for the kids all to
promote safety.
In light of the bad economy, we figured it'd be
a really good way to get kids outside and get kids focused on bike safety
to give away a bike. So, they're giving away a bike a week all summer long.
That's 13 bikes total and this is the 3rd bike so far. And
the surprise gift for the kid isn't just keeping them safe, it's also
offering a little bit of hope. It's really cool to see how kids no matter how
hard their lives are, they still always find the joy in the everyday and the joy in bicycling
and things like that. In West Toledo, with today's good news, I'm Andrew Z.
Alright,
beautiful program there.
