Hi, I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to be learning
how to play a few basic flam rudiments. After that we have to ride in the sticking to play
flam taps. Most of the time when we are playing 16 notes we are just going to play regular
16 notes like we have showed you earlier in lesson it is right, left, right, left, right,
left and so on. This to play flam taps is right, right, left, left, right, right, left,
left, right, right, left, left, right, right, left, left. Now remember the flams this note
right here are accent note is right hand so our flam that is going to be left. This one
is left so that flam is going to be right, this one is going to be left, that is right,
left, right, left, right. Now when you are looking at this you see oh right, right, left
no big deal. Well if you look take this 1st flam our your first 2 strokes are right, right.
Well now you have a flam to play and that is right to. So you have to make sure you
are actually playing 3 right handed notes in a row and then 3 left handed notes in a
row. But we are not going to worry about that right now I just wanted to point that little
hopeful tip out. Let's go ahead and get started working on how to play this phrase of music.
