Way #1 on how to pass the chemistry regents. Aside from Safety First, the following 2 questions
you are about to see should be easy, free points for you. To ensure you get those points,
make sure to read the questions carefully and, use common sense.
The first question comes from the June, 2011 chemistry regents.
Here, they are asking for a safety procedure to be done AFTER completing the lab activity.
You might be asking, "What lab activity?" Well, here is the rest of the information
that goes with this question, but it really doesn't matter what the activity was.
Good, common sense, safety procedures following any chemistry lab should include:
Cleaning up the materials and putting things away, disposing of chemicals properly, or
perhaps the easiest and most common answer, washing your hands.
What would you write for this question from the January, 2011 chemistry regents?
This time, you can't mention something that was already stated in the passage so let us
show you the passage. If you wrote "wear goggles" or "wear an apron",
the person grading your test has been instructed not to give you credit because those safety
precautions were mentioned in the passage. Acceptable responses include but are not limited
to: "wear gloves" or "avoid spills". So, way # 1 on how to pass the chemistry regents
- use common sense when performing lab activities and read the questions carefully.
