Hi! Today I am going to talk to you about building a low impact fire. A low impact fire
is very important. Before you even build one, make sure you checked before you started hiking
that it is okay to have a fire because in some places they don't won't you to have a
fire. You'll have to use a backpack or stove or similar device. If you can build a fire
though, this is how you want to have your fire. Just get your tender or whatever you
need to get started, some small stuff or little bit larger. I started building a stone ring.
You can build a little ring around it if you want to make sure that is contained. Just
use some rocks. You might want some bit larger than this and just get your fire going. Once
you are done, just make sure that it is all out and then when you are going to leave in
the morning or whenever you are leaving, make sure you take the ashes and just sprinkle
them evenly around. You don't just leave a pile. Like pick them up and sprinkle them
around the area that you were staying in. This way it prevents ugly piles of ash just
laying around and also it helps it to dissolve faster. It gets back into the soil. So make
sure you have a low impact fire if you need one. Check at the station first and if it's
okay, make sure that you have a safe fire.
