We’ve added a new personal landing page and made some changes to the navigation to
make your everyday online library experience even better.
When you’re logged in, there’s now a personal landing page displaying all your need-it-now
information about your library account. You can access it from this button, or by clicking
directly on your My Library tab.
All of my borrowing information is highlighted in one place, I can immediately see if I have
any overdues and when my next due date is. And I can see if any of my holds are ready
for pick-up. If I want to know more, I can just click through.
I can also click through on any of My Settings to edit or add information.
The Discover tab is fun because it provides me with lots of great updates. I get updates
about what the users I’m following have recently shared, which gives me lots of great
ideas for what I want to read next.
I can see right away if any of the items that I have added to my For Later shelf are in
library.
The connect tab provides me updates about my inbox. Whenever I get any new messages
from other users or library alerts, I can see them here.
Now let’s take a look at the navigation changes. Nothing has been lost, it’s just
re-organized:
All of the account settings have been removed from the My Library tab, and are now accessible
from the new personal landing page.
Your Lists and Shelves are now under one super-heading ‘My Collections’.
We have changed My Networks to My Community to better reflect what this section is all
about. You can now access your inbox from here. We’ve also updated the Recommendations
page - it is now called Recently Shared and it now contains all titles that users you
are following have shared, not just the materials they have rated with 4 or more stars. If
you are unfamiliar with any of these pages, or want to learn more, simply navigate to
the page and read the ‘getting started’ information, or ask at your library.
Hope you enjoy the new changes. Thanks and
have a nice day.
