My name's Michael Smith. I'm the Vice President of Sales for Lutron
Electronics, for our residential business. LEDs are obviously changing the
landscape of the lighting industry, and with it, Lutron is taking a
leadership role to help set the standard on how do you control LED lights
very well. And for many years now, as LEDs have been coming to market,
there has not been a standard for what "good" looks like. And so, our goal
at Lutron is to create an LED center of excellence that allows us to test
many, many manufacturers' LED sources. One of the challenges facing
consumers is now that light sources are changing, where they have LED
options, compact fluorescent options, incandescent bulbs are still out
there, and halogen lights. Which dimmer do they select? How do they know
which dimmer will produce the right result?
What Lutron has done is, we designed a dimmer that will not only control
all those sources, but they can control them well. Whether you select a
style like this, or whether you select big paddle switch and little dimmer
on the side, whether you enjoy a large bar to slide the dimmers with an
on/off switch, or whether you have a traditional, regular switch opening,
Lutron now makes that CL dimmer in a variety of styles, a variety of
functions. But all of them take away the problem for the homeowner of, will
this dimmer work with the light source I selected? You can find Lutron
dimmers at lightology.com.
