One of my main things is I'm very organized.
I worked in a professional field before I went back to school,
and I have a calendar, and that is my lifeline,
so I know when my tests are coming up, and I start preparing for the tests,
and what I do is I...there's a lot of anatomy
in radiology, and everything starts running together, so I
associate, for instance, there's the Caldwell position,
and you go through the nose, so I think of Caldwell and cold,
and that's how I remember that the nose
is the positioning point for that.
And I do that with a lot of the different anatomies.
It's very important,
and once you start at the beginning of the program as a second-year student,
it does all start running together, so
the person who does procrastinate...
I am not usually that person, but I will tell you I have done it once,
and your memory does not...
I did not, I did not do well on that test
because I did cram, and everything went out the window.
Yeah, so it was not good, so I start preparing and using my calendar
when I know tests are coming. I do prioritize.
I have had to let my social life go
a little bit because of my studying,
and my husband forgets what I look like sometimes
cuz I'm in my study groups, and that is my second family, but
it is important to prepare yourself ahead of time. I think you do well on
tests
that way; if you cram, I think it really shows in the results.
