Today on our 2005 Chevy Malibu well be test fitting the Glacier V-Trac cabled snow tire
chain, part number PW1934V on tire size P215 60 R16. Our first step, well go ahead and
lay out our tire chains. As we lay them out well make sure that the cross chain hooks
are facing up, or out away from the tire. Now well go ahead and take the chain and drape
it over the top of the tire and center it on the tire as we work our way down. Next
well move to the inside of the tire. Well go ahead and take the cable eyelet, put it
through and lock it into the hook. Next well move to the outside of the tire,
pull on the cable eyelet and lock, and take up as much slack as possible as we fit the
cable eyelets through the hook. As you can see from this application we were able to
hook on the fourth eyelet. Now well take the excess cable and secure it with the red locking
tab. To additionally secure our tire chain well use a Glacier rubber adjuster for 16
to 20 inch rims, part number PW99. This adjuster will come with a total
of
five hooks.
