When it comes to self expression there are no rules.
No right, or wrong.
We are artists first
creators that follow instinct and inspiration.
We don't only use live instruments...
and we don't only use electronic synths.
We will try anything to get the sound that's in our heads out.
That's why this fall, the rack is being united inside Reason.
Introducing Reason, version 6.
The fun, fast and creative music making platform is about to get a whole lot bigger,
phatter, and ready for any idea can you throw at it.
Combining all the features from Record,
version 6 adds audio recording into Reason
along with Propellerhead's acclaimed mixer,
its masterfully modeled EQ and dynamics on every channel,
and that legendary master bus compressor.
Reason 6 comes with all the effects you know and love.
But that's not all.
Reason 6 introduces three new rack devices that share a single goal:
Creative use of effects.
Pulveriser... a compressor, distortion, filter, and envelope follower
that wants nothing more than to thrash your signal.
If you use it gently, parallel processing has never been so easy.
When taken to extremes,
Pulveriser will turn any input into something completely unrecognizable
and completely awesome.
Alligator is a three band pattern-based gate effect.
Use it for adding rhythm and accents to pads,
change the feel of percussion loops
or apply it to the whole mix for a breakdown section.
With its three parallel filters, distortion, phaser and delay,
Alligator is a powerful remix tool,
capable of completely reshaping the material.
The Echo is an advanced stereo delay with built in filter, diffusion, distortion and wobble
bringing together the brilliance of modern delays
with the organic sounds of analog circuitry and old-school tape machines.
We've taken it further,
the Trigger and Roll modes let you play The Echo as an instrument,
creating stutter and repeat effects
on the fly.
When all you want is everything,
all you need is Reason.
Oh yeah,
it's 64 bit.
