Female Speaker: Laurel has quite a lot of things to get over this new season with
Tommy's death so I'm just wondering how that's going to affect her and how her new
relationship with Oliver is going to evolve?
Katie Cassidy: You know death is a tough thing to deal with especially when it's
someone so close to you and as much as she loves Oliver she really loved Tommy also
so I think it's - she's grieved, she's mourned, but his death will always stay
with her. And right now I don't think she has the
emotional capacity to worry about her relationship with Oliver.
I just don't think that mentally she's there, she also lost her job so that's
another thing that she has to kind of focus on.
She cared for Tommy, she loved Tommy very much and again it's hard losing someone
and investing - she would invest 100% of herself into her relationship and I don't
know if she can - she doesn't think that she can do that at the moment and it's not
to say that she never can but with Oliver and Laurel they're always doing this back
and forth dance between the two of them.
Female Speaker: And if you could describe her journey in one word in Season 2 what
would it be?
Katie Cassidy: Unknown because I haven't read the scripts.
Oh no, no, I've gotten - we get them as the writers write them.
Female Speaker: So far. Katie Cassidy: We've shot one episode so
I have the second episode. Honestly, I think that you'll see Ollie's
character, not just Laurel, grow and evolve and have their own journey and I
think there will be more of that going on and I do think you'll get to see her part
of the action side of things and criminal side of things more.
Female Speaker: And finally what are you most excited for people to see this season
or so far from what you've read?
Katie Cassidy: It's interesting her point of view on everything.
Expect the unexpected.
