JOEL SIEGEL: Alright. So, we've got our sixteenth note at the end of two and that's actually
going to serve us as an anticipation into three 'cause we've got a downbeat on three
in the kick and then we've also got an upbeat of three in the kick, okay? So, if you kinda
combine that with a sixteenth note from earlier, it gives a certain sound. One, two. One, two.
One, two, a-three-and, right? A-three-and--okay? That's what's happening in the kick. We also
have our eighth notes in the muted ride, right? Since we're just doing straight eighth notes
so one-and, two-and, three-and, okay? So, with that sixteenth note and then those two
eighth notes in the kick combined with beats one and two, this is what the beat sounds
like so far. Alright? We'll add the next beat in the next clip and finish out the beat and
put it all together for you.
