St. Augustine went through life trying to figure out whether or not he should convert into Christianity.
In the meantime, he focused on education, philosophy, and writings.
Augustine realized he was living a life full of sins and wanted to help others also make a difference.
He eventually converted into Christianity and became a priest, as well as the Bishop of Hippo.
Hi, my name is Doug Mcbride.
I work at St. Augustine high school in Brampton, Ontario.
I'm an ERW which is an educational resource worker.
I've been at this school for sixteen years.
I can relate myself to St. Augustine because my life almost parallels his.
I was raised in a Catholic faith. My parents made sure that that was part of my life. I resented it.
When I got older, I turned my back on it.
And then I had a near death situation happen in my life when God spoke to me basically through that situation.
I turned my life around and became involved at St. Augustine high school.
And I had start a worship and praise team and that's what inspired me was having that change in my life.
My name is Jason Medina and I'm a student and member of the praise and worship team here at St. Augustine.
When I think of St. Augustine, I think of Mr. Mcbride.
Their mothers always tried to bring God into their lives but they resented that.
And eventually they had a turning point in their lives where God sent them a message that they need change
their way of life.
And that inspired them to also want to help others make a difference.
St. Augustine converted into Christianity and he became a priest.
Mr. Mcbride was inspired to create this praise and worship team, and that inspires me because ever since I
joined the worship team, I've become a better person and I've become closer with God.
